Worked with the Global Initiative against Transnational Organised Crime (GITOC) on editorial and digital strategies for the launch of two major reports. This work is ongoing and now involves strategic work and training to enhance the GI’s social media output and engagement with digital audiences.
Delivered a week-long training to local journalists in Chongqing, including workshops on story development, handling financial data and stories, data visualisation and mobile journalism.
Edited a series of articles for publication on the World Economic Forum’s website to accompany the India Economic Summit.
Working with BBC South East, I devised and delivered training for the entire newsroom over the course of three days. The training covered storytelling and posting with impact on Twitter and Facebook, but with a particular emphasis on Instagram. I also gave an overview of the benefits of CrowdTangle for newsgathering and monitoring the performance of social stories.
Worked in the FT’s newsroom as part of its audience team to research and produce a proposal for a new editorial project.
