I devised and delivered a week-long training programme for journalists in Beijing focused on social media for journalists. It covered a range of topics including how to devise a social media strategy, storytelling on different social platforms, newsgathering and verification on social media and how to build an audience on social.
The participants were predominantly focused on building a social media presence and audience outside of China and I also had to deliver the training with restricted access to the internet – both interesting challenges.
